The first chance you get, you want to escape to this favourite chilling destination. But you know the constraints of daily life. You cannot really go there as frequently as you’d like. But what if we tell you that you can at least have some of the Goan flavour while being in city? Not the beaches, but you can compensate with the food, right?
Among the Goan desserts, one of the best is Bebinca cake. It is a traditional rich Goan dessert that is eaten during occasions like wedding, birthday party, Christmas, Easter or birth. A layered cake, it can have as many as 16 layers. Each layer is baked separately and therefore the taste too comes out remarkably well. The slices are so soft that it melts in your mouth. Its ingredients include plain flour, sugar, ghee (clarified butter), egg yolk, coconut milk and almond slivers.
